Armed Citizens or Extraordinary Security – Today’s Quote

Societies have to think about how they’re going to approach the problem.  One is to say we want an armed citizenry; you can see the reason for that.  Another is to say the enclaves are so secure that in order to get into the soft target you’re going to have to pass through extraordinary security.

Interpol Secretary General Ronald Noble commenting in the wake of last month’s Al-Shabab attack on the Nairobi Mall

Andrew’s Note:  So we allow citizens to defend themselves or we surround all our soft targets with “extraordinary security”  Won’t that just make the lines waiting to get through the “extraordinary security” into new soft targets which will then need to be surrounded by even more “extraordinary security” which will…well you get the picture.  If you live in a society that allows you to defend yourself, seek training and make arrangements to do so.
